I’m Ali, a cinema student in Istanbul. I make short films, take photographs and develop digital products.
Ali Emre Kaya
My name is Ali Emre Kaya, and I go by alee. I’m in my final year of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Bilgi University.
I don’t see myself through a single job title. I’m interested in cinema, photography and technology. An idea might lead me to a short film, a series of photographs or an app I’m developing.
I’m at the beginning of my career. Alongside my own projects, I work with other teams, learn new approaches and keep refining what I make.
It often starts with an everyday detail. Music can suggest a scene in my mind; something I find missing can become the starting point for a product. I enjoy both thinking an idea through and finding a way to make it tangible.
